The earthquakes that struck on February 6, 2023, measuring 7.7 and 7.6 on the magnitude scale, with the epicenter in Kahramanmaraş, caused severe destruction in 11 provinces. The disaster resulted in the loss of over 46,000 lives and directly impacted the lives of 13.5 million people.
Therefore, the Orphan Foundation has launched an "Emergency Relief Campaign" to fulfill various needs such as food, heaters, water, fuel, tents, hygiene kits, blankets, diapers, clothes, and household items. Our efforts have been directed towards the 11 affected provinces, which include Adana, Adıyaman, Diyarbakır, Gaziantep, Hatay, Kahramanmaraş, Kilis, Malatya, Osmaniye, Elazığ, and Şanlıurfa. We have also prioritized cities such as Istanbul and Ankara, where earthquake victims have lost their homes and have been forced to scatter all over Turkey.
